Freelance Work for Specialist Copyeditors and Technical Editors

We are currently searching for freelance specialist copyeditors and specialist substantive editors for freelance work on a fee basis. The placement and completion of the commission happens online (remotely), so you can work from your home or your own office.

We deal primarily with the following subjects and fields of expertise:

• medicine: human medicine, veterinary medicine as well as specific branches: dentistry, internal medicine, traumatology, surgery, plastic surgery, haematology etc.
• alternative medicine: acupuncture, homeopathy etc.
• technology: electronics, automotive, thermodynamics, control systems engineering etc.
• mathematics, computer science (IT/IS)
• natural sciences: biology, chemistry, physics etc.
• economic science: economy, business administration, marketing
• law: criminal law, civil law, public law, international law, procedural law etc.
• humanities: political science, history etc.

We also gladly accept applications from professionals in other topics and spheres of knowledge.

If in addition to your specialised knowledge you also have experience as a substantive editor, proof-reader or copyeditor, this would be an advantage, but not an absolute necessity. Regarding specialised copyediting, it would ultimately be concerned primarily with technical accuracy and credibility, the correct use of technical terms, clear textual statements and structure etc. The linguistic revision can be done by an additional proof-reader if need be.
